Student assistant (m/f/d)
The Chair of Building Realization and Robotics at TUM collaborates in various (EU) research projects dealing with the application of Robotics and Automation in Building Construction, Healthcare Technologies and Future Technologies.
Whether as an intern (m/f/d) or a student assistant (m/f/d), our unique combination of scientific research and near real world testing in one of our labs will enable you to be part of the development of diverse out of the box solutions.
Are you seeking a working student role outside the traditional fields like architecture, engineering and construction in a highly innovative sector? To support our team at TUM Munich we are searching for YOU, as a student assistant (m/f/d):
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Support with the invention, coordination, construction, recording of the manufacturing process and programing of new robots with the software Robot Operating System (ROS) depending on a script generated in a computational design software
- Participate in the coordination, development and execution of new research & industry projects in our core specializations Construction Robotics, Healthcare Technologies and Future Technologies
- The chance to take on the role as a student tutor
- Assisting the scientific coordinators team, e.g. with the preparation of online & live lectures
Profile, essential skills and experience required:
- Students (m/w/d) at all degree/study levels from diverse fields, such as mechanical Engineering, Informatics, Mechatronics, Production, Architecture & Design or similar disciplines
- Programming skills in C++ and Python
- Experienced in Robotic Operating System (ROS)
- Fluent written and spoken English skills, optimally good German skills
- Highly motivated to gain knowledge about handling different software applications such as e.g. parametric design
- Solution-oriented mindset with a high level of team spirit
