Responsive Engagement of the Elderly Promoting Activity and
Customized Healthcare

Problem

To obtain EU-funding is highly competitive; also it is difficult for organisations to integrate their own development goals with that of the larger consortium; als often larger R&D consortia are not too productive in terms of translating research into practical outputs.

Goal

“The project has delivered exceptional results with significant immediate and potential impact. The dissemination and exploitation activities have generated new market opportunities for the European industry. REACH has paved the way for companies and SMEs to benefit and develop new business”.; Dr. Linner coorinated the project thought its enire life cycle (consortium building, proposal, project execution, project exploitation, project closure, etc.) in the role of the sientific director.

Abstract

REACH aims to develop a service system that will turn clinical and care environments into customizable modular sensing, prevention, and intervention systems that encourage the elderly to become healthy via activity (physical, cognitive, mobility, personalized food, etc.). Moreover, the project focusses on the development of future care environments that predict heath states and personalize health care on basis of technology utilization.
